I am a woman of many photos, words sometimes may get jumbled but I will always communicate clearly with my photos. I feel that is why I became a photographer. I became a gardener to be able to create art with my hands and pieces of nature. I became a type 1 diabetic because my pancreas is dead and useless. Just kidding…

So let me tell you a bit about myself, since you are on my blog.

In 2012 I graduated high school from small county school in Selma, Indiana. I attended Indiana Wesleyan for a year where I felt out of place. I transferred to Ball State University back in Muncie, and I felt like I was home. I moved into a rental that I rented from my grandma Ila and that is where we bought a little over a year ago. (okay I won’t get too far ahead of myself.)

I attended BSU and got my BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Photography and Intermedia Arts. During my time there I created so many pieces of art and learned so much about myself as a person. Successes and failures that led me to where I am today. I started working for a commercial wedding and portrait photographer a week after graduating and learned so much of how I wanted to run my business and how not to run my business. During that time I built my own business up, and opened a photo studio in 2018.

In 2019 I added a photo booth to my business and rent it out to weddings and events (an additional income that is fun and makes since with my existing business.) Plus this photobooth has shown up at lots of my own events as well, just a perk haha.

Let’s go back a couple of years… in 2016 I met Cory. I introduced myself to him and he asked me on a date the next day. We were just kinda together ever since. We have went on trips, golfed together, camped, raised our 4 animals, added a new lifestyle studio to my business, worked on so many home and garden projects, bought a home, finally got engaged, got married and nowwwww pregnant with our little baby girl. I am currently 23.5 weeks along and everything is going great! We have been working on our home and getting it prepared for our baby girl who is due in May of 2022. EEK!

Our life is not nearrrr perfect, but we work through the hard times and love each other so much. I can not wait to see him hold our little babe in just a few short months. So many big changes coming, it’s exciting and scary!

Now back to why I started this blog. I told you, words may not be my strong point but photographs will always read clearly. So I am sure there will be days that my blogs are short and images are plentiful and then other days where I just need to word vomit on a page to express what I am feeling more than just the images that I share.

Gardening. Type 1 Diabetes. Home and Life. Pregnancy and Baby. Photography and running a business. These are just some of the topics that I know I will be sharing with you.

If you are a little bit intrigued and want to keep up with my life on a more day to day basis, my personal instagram is the best way to do that. I also plan on sharing more videos of the nursery, the garden, and my photo studio on my Youtube channel.

Here is a little photo dump of my life to share what is important to me and just some photos that I love!
